The Perry Center is currently hiring for the position(s) of:

Job Purpose:

A Resident Assistant is someone who is responsible for supporting, encouraging, and engaging with the women we serve. The Resident Assistant will report to the House Parent, Program Manager and Executive Director and aid in the daily management of the house. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Resident Assistant is responsible for:

  • Hanging out with the residents

  • Cooking meals with the residents

  • Assist getting residents to appointments or events

  • Being a role model and spiritual leader for our residents



  • High School Diploma +

Personal Characteristics

  • Should possess the personal characteristics generally recognized as essential for public employees, including, integrity, initiative, emotional maturity, dependability, courtesy, good judgement, and the ability to work cooperatively with others.

  • Believe that life begins at conception and that for an unplanned pregnancy, abortion, is never an option.

  • Have a neutral stance on adoption vs. raising a child in their attitudes concerning unplanned pregnancy, while maintaining a pro-life belief.

  • Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, attend church on a regular basis, and be comfortable in teaching and sharing their faith with others.

  • Be capable of providing leadership and spiritual guidance to the young women according to their specific need.

  • Have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record. 

Working Conditions

  • This is a contracted position that would require commitment:

    • At least one evening per week​ starting at 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

    • At least one weekend per month starting Friday evening at 5 p.m. and staying until Monday morning at 7:00 a.m.   

    • One holiday per year
