Job Purpose: 

The Office Assistant reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the maternity home, events, and donor interactions in accordance with the strategic direction set by the Board of Trustees and Executive Director.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Director with all events, meetings as necessary, and schedules.

  • Organize and coordinate volunteer groups.

  • Answer phone calls and reach out to financial partners of the ministry.

  • Keep donor list organized and current.

  • Run errands and place orders for the office.

  • Design and keep current the website for The Perry Center and Tender Hearts Daycare.

  • Design and organize quarterly newsletters, print materials, and brand-related items such as billboard, radio, print and digital advertisements for The Perry Center and Tender Hearts Daycare.

  • Process donations in DonorDock, print thank you for Executive Director, and mail.

  • Schedule social media posts daily and interact with comments and private messages.

  • Design and organize email blasts that focus on testimonies, updates, and announcements.

  • Update documents per request.

  • Handle diaper/supply calls.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree

  • Should possess the personal characteristics generally recognized as essential for public employees, including integrity, initiative, emotional maturity, dependability, courtesy, good judgment, and the ability to work cooperatively with others.

  • Believe that life begins at conception and that for an unplanned pregnancy, abortion, is never an option.

  • Have a neutral stance on adoption vs. raising a child in their attitudes concerning unplanned pregnancy, while maintaining a pro-life belief.

  • Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, attend church on a regular basis, and be comfortable in teaching and sharing their faith with others.

  • Be capable of providing leadership and spiritual guidance to young women according to their specific need.

  • Organized, creative, and driven.

 

Experience

  • Marketing/Administrative background.

  • Any combination of training, experience, and education that provides the required knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of this positions.

  • Two to five years of experience working with single mothers and/or youth.

  • Proficient in social media platforms.

  • Proficient in web design and Adobe Creative Cloud.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Hours/Salary

  • This is a full-time position and may require some weekend and evening assignments.  Salary is experience-based.  Health Insurance, Paid-Time Off and SIMPLE IRA are offered.

Job Purpose: 

The Maintenance Manager reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for maintaining ministry buildings and property upkeep in accordance with the strategic directions set by the Board of Trustees and Executive Director. 

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lawn care, which includes mowing, trimming, edging, and turf repair. 

  • Snow removal prior to 7:30 a.m.

  • Weeding and caring for landscape on the ministry property.

  • Receiving and responding to reports of mechanical or other maintenance issues.

  • Maintaining the fire, carbon monoxide, smoke, and other safety systems.

  • Light repairs and replacements throughout the ministry buildings.

  • Coordinate larger repairs with the appropriate vendors.

  • Direct volunteer groups on maintenance projects. 

  • Coordinate maintenance for ministry vehicles and machinery. 

  • Inspect buildings and property for failures and report to the Executive Director.

  • Experience performing routine maintenance .

  • Operating a lawn tractor with snow removal attachments. 

Working Conditions: 
The Maintenance Manager works indoors and outdoors and has a small shop on The Perry Center property. 

Hours/Salary

  • This is a part-time position (15 hours/week) with flexible hours and may require early mornings, later evenings, and weekends. Salary is experienced-based.
